More Cowboys Newman's comments, made Monday on Sirius' NFL radio show, prompted the league to issue a letter cautioning him about his conduct for Sunday's game.
Newman made the statements after Kitna said the Lions weren't afraid to throw at Newman in last season's meeting.
"It is what it is," Newman said after practice Friday. "[Kitna] didn't say anything bad to me. I was trying to make a joke about it. I don't even blitz. I blitz like four times a year. Besides, he's bigger than me."
